ThreatBlockr Build 88 - March 17, 2022
Corporate Rebranding
As part of our corporate rebranding, we will now be referring to our central cloud-management platform as ThreatBlockr (formerly known as GMC). ThreatBlockr is responsible for full cloud-based management of ThreatBlockr Edge software. ThreatBlockr can now be accessed directly at https://admin.threatblockr.com, or by selecting the Login button in the top right corner of threatblockr.com. The former url, gmc.banduracyber.com, will redirect to the new URL, but please update bookmarks and your password store accordingly.
You will notice that the ThreatBlockr login screen has been updated to reflect our new branding:
Terminology Updates
We’ve made a few terminology updates throughout the platform, which have no impact on existing functionality. Here’s a list of what is going to look different while using ThreatBlockr:
- Denied Lists are now Block Lists
- You will also see that we are now referring to denied traffic as blocked traffic.
- Allowed Lists are now Allow Lists
- Standardized IP Nomenclature
- All indicators are now referenced as “IP”.
- Assets are now Appliances
- An appliance is a physical server or virtual machine with the ThreatBlockr Edge software installed on it. This screen will continue to display your ThreatBlockr Edge installations.
- ThreatBlockr software is now ThreatBlockr Edge (2.0 or Legacy)
- ThreatBlockr Edge is our software stack that runs on a physical or virtual server.
API Version v3
Our API had a version update to v3! We will continue to support our v2 API, but if you consume our API endpoints, please review our v3 API documentation and begin to update your endpoints to the latest version.
