If you need to install our threatER Enforce software on a physical appliance for the first time, or re-install it on an appliance that you have had an issue with, you can easily create a bootable USB flash drive with the use of an ISO image containing the latest Enforce software build.
First, you'll want to download the ISO image from our Dropbox folder. Once you have the ISO file downloaded, we recommend using Rufus to create the bootable USB drive. Note that Rufus currently only supports systems running Windows 8 or later.
Although it is possible to boot from USB 2.0 ports, for the fastest possible installation times, we generally recommend using a USB 3.0 port (and therefore a USB 3.0 compliant thumb drive housing our ISO image) if available.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When using Rufus, be sure to select MBR (Master Boot Record) as the Partition scheme when creating the USB. The following configuration screen shows our recommended USB configuration settings for the best likelihood of working on arbitrary systems:
